Abstract: The 1:1 molecular complex of licorice triterpene glycoside glycyrrhizic acid (in the form of monoammonium salt) with cholesterol was obtained in 80% aqueous isopropyl alcohol for the first time. The complexation was studied by 13C NMR, UV, and ATR IR-Fourier spectroscopy. The hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions are formed in the molecular complex.
