Abstract: In this paper a new approach to solve the problem of optimal placement of distributed generation sources is proposed. The method is aimed at improving the reliability of electricity supply. The mathematical model of the optimal placement of distributed generation sources (DG) based on improving the reliability of power supply as the optimization algorithm used a genetic algorithm. The results of experimental calculations and comparative analysis of the algorithm is shown. © 2014 WIT Press.
