Abstract: The problem of gas movement and temperature distribution in the blast furnace is considered. Due to significant nonlinearity differential equations of gas mechanics and the heat transfer (described in the Part 1) the problem was solved under the assumption of axisymmetric flow in the variable “vorticity - stream function”. The boundary conditions of the problem involve the calculations of vorticity and temperature on the oven walls at the level of the grist and hearth. The dependences of the coolant thermal properties on the pressure and temperature are taken into account in the calculations. The gas flow parameters (blast and gas tuyere hearth) for laminar flow and turbulent regime are described. Constitutive equations of reformulated mathematical model were solved numerically using of the method of successive over relaxation (PVR). Also, the problem of determining the thermal gas parameters in the hearth of a blast furnace was solved with the use of mathematical model previously developed at the chair. © 2016, National University of Science and Technology MISIS.
