Abstract: An unconventional technology is developed for producing commercial batches of cold-drawn rectangular strips that are made of a copper-silver alloy for use as current conductors in the rotors of turbogenerators. The effect of the draft on the strength and ductility characteristics is studied. A product with suitable mechanical properties is obtained and high electrical conductivity is attained in the alloy. © 2012 Springer Science+Business Media New York.
