Abstract: | Heracles was one of the popular heroes in Ancient Greece. In many myths he came forward as a Soter—Saviour. In Greece cult of Heracles-Saviour was very widely used (temples, inscriptions, coins, etc.). This cult was spread at the North Side of the Black Sea in the end of IV century B.C. and was connected with the idea of the chtonical Heracles (as a god of the fertility). Bosporian myth about Aphrodite Apaturos confirms this fact. All this sides of Heracles’es cult led to the great worship of this hero-god in the states of Bospor and Chersones. |
