Abstract: | Type 2 diabetes (T2D) and its complications are one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide. The pathogenesis of T2D is based on hyperglycemia-induced chronic oxidative stress and inflammation [1]. Due to the need to develop new pathogenesis-oriented drugs for the treatment and prevention of T2D, the attention of researchers is attracted by isoflavones (IF) – bioactive substances of plant origin with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity [2]. |
