Abstract: A unified methodology for studying various types of aircraft electrical machines using the MATLAB/Simulink programming environment and elements of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technology is presented. According to this technique, aboratory classes are carried out in the discipline «Aviation and special electrical machines». The methodology for the study of electrical machines is built on the basis of a systematic approach to the structure «the content of the academic discipline – teaching methods – teaching aids». The features of the development of simulation models of machines and the composition of the blocks included in the model are described. Virtual models have been built and simulation modeling of the following types of aircraft electrical machines has been carried out: asynchronous and synchronous machines. The possibility of using elements of technology of virtual reality and augmented reality as a tool that complements the learning process and aimed at improving the efficiency of the learning process by introducing additional interactive objects into the field of visual perception of the student in order to increase the efficiency of mastering educational information is considered. At the same time, the didactic possibilities of VR/AR technology are considered in the context of the development of the thinking of future aviation specialists. It is shown that the implementation of this technique in the educational process contributes to the formation of the ability to generalize facts, build logical schemes, read non-verbal texts.
