Abstract: | A weak-localization effect has been studied in macroscopically inhomogeneous two-dimensional system. It is shown that there is a regime where fits of the low-field negative magnetoresistance with the standard weak localization theory for a uniform system give a dephasing time which saturates as one goes to lower temperatures, even though the true dephasing time diverges as the temperature goes to zero. © 2001 The American Physical Society. |
