Abstract: The paper describes a numerical procedure for modeling induction heating of large objects. A coupled calculation of the electromagnetic and thermal fields is performed by the finite element method in a three-dimensional formulation. The setting of the computational mesh is described. The results of numerical calculations are demonstrated. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
