Первые школы при Сысертском заводе в XVIII в. (1735 – 1750-е гг.)

Abstract

The article draws from archival documents to reconstruct the history of the first schools established at Sysert Factory in 1735-1742. The article provides the data about the number, age and social background of students, their participation in the life of the factory and in particular the choice of the school teacher. Factory workers actively supported the initiative to reopen the school in 1748 and agreed to pay to the teacher. A certain role in this initiative was played by the factory administration and higher-level managers. As a result, the school was able to resume its work in 1752. The parents’ decision to pay to the school teacher was a new situation for Ural mining factories, which showed that workers considered their children’s access to school education important.

В статье на основе архивных документов впервые реконструируется деятельность первых школ при Сысертском заводе в 1735–1742 гг. Характеризуются количественный, возрастной и социальный состав учащихся, использование их в интересах завода и распределение к делам; решение вопроса с подбором учителя. Раскрывается активная роль мастеровых завода в возобновлении обучения детей в 1748 г. за счет найма учителя за плату родителей, роль заводской конторы и уральского начальства в этом процессе и восстановлении прерванного учителем обучения в 1752 г. Деятельность заводской школы за счет оплаты родителями труда учителя являлась новшеством на горнозаводском Урале и отражала понимание мастеровыми людьми важности школьного обучения своих детей.
