Abstract

The article examines a text model of organization of the toponymical continuum. The whole complex of toponyms can be presented as a mosaic interweaving different style layers. In the present case a toponymical style is interpreted as a semantified manifestation In the name of a subject nomination. The given approach allows us to single out the sectors differing in their style Intentions within the North-Russian toponymy on which the article is based. We may also speak about the interaction of a toponymical text with folk and ethnographical texts, functioning within the supertext of a traditional national culture.
