Abstract: Modified halloysite nanotubes (HNTs-Cl) were synthesized by a coupling reaction with (3-chloropropyl) trimethoxysilane (CPTMS). The highest degree of functionalization (silyla-tion) was achieved with using toluene as a solvent, the molar ratio of (HNTs / CPTMS / H2O) of (1:1:3), the refluxing time of 4 hours.
