The paper discusses a new exact solution of the Oberbeck-Boussinesq system describing the three-dimensional flow of a viscous incompressible fluid layer. Quadratic heating is determined at one of the boundaries of the fluid layer, along two mutually perpendicular horizontal directions. A particular exact solution of the boundary value problem is analyzed for the obtained velocity and temperature fields. The possibility of the occurrence of counterflow regions inside the fluid layer is reported. © 2020 American Institute of Physics Inc.. All rights reserved.en
