Abstract: The program QForm-Extrusion, a product of the Russian company KvantorForm, is developed to solve problems encountered in extruding complex shapes, designing new tools, selecting process parameters, and identifying possible defects. The software product QForm-Extrusion, a 64-bit Windows application, can serve either as an independent program or as an auxiliary module for the program QForm, which models metal-shaping operations. The belt editor is constructed inside the QShape module. The editor makes it possible to regulate the height of the belt on any of its sections without changing over to a CAD-model. The user needs to indicate the type of process, the geometry being used, the process parameters, and the temperature and material of the tool and the semi-finished product in the editor that is employed to prepare the initial data. The products can be straightened either by using straightening machines or by installing additional guides at the end of the press.
