Abstract

The article presents a new approach to the philosophy of Ernst Mach, a prominent Austrian positivist; it delves into the biographical sources of his philosophy, and, then, explores the influence of his philosophy upon Russian social democrats (the Bolsheviks); it also identifies typical features of Austrian philosophy within E. Mach's conception.

В статье излагается новое представление о философии Э. Маха как австрийского позитивиста, раскрываются биографические истоки его учения, а также влияние его на российских социал-демократов (большевиков). Выявляются типичные для австрийской философии черты махизма.
