Abstract

In the conditions of the Gissar valley of Tajikistan are studied features of growth and development, and also productivity potential of 18 samples of sun artichoke, received by the Russian Federation and Tajikistan breeders. These samples of sun artichoke depending on their genetic feature had different indicators to such polygene signs, as height of plants (with a range of a variation of 210–405 sm), weight of leaves (1 300–3 000 g/plant), weight of roots (300–1 500 g/plant), quantity of tubers (24–180 pieces/a plant), weight of tubers (250–3000 g/plant) and the general biomass (1 550–6 000 g/plant). On the basis of weight of tubers especially differed such samples of sun artichoke as "Sarvat" ("Riches"), "Tezpaz" ("Early"), "Gigant", "White" and "Pink" which had efficiency – 2 225–3 000 g/plant that it was on 25–50 % more in comparison with other samples. On the basis of the general biomass had the best indicators, such sumples as "Pink", "White", № 3 and 248, "Sarvat" and "the Gigant", a having 5 800–6 433 g/plant that it was on 30–70 % more than others samples of sun artichoke. These samples of sun artichoke have are of special interest for the further breeding and seed-growing works and on their joint studying from scientists of Tajikistan and the Russian Federation.
