Abstract: The structure of the martensite formed by quenching in titanium alloys, as well as the connection between the rhombic lattice α - martensite and anisotropy of thermal expansion was investigated. Τhe methods of the X-ray and thermal XRD phase analyzes have been used to study the relationship between martensite crystal lattice, the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and molybdenum and aluminum equivalent.
