Abstract

The problem of timber capital is relevant in the context of the global commitment to sustainable development, and in the sphere of forestry - to forest management. Sustainable forest management is, in its own nature, a forest management organization that serves sustainable development objectives. With such management, the value of all forest resources should be taken into account, and their use should be in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. The existing official method of calculating the national wealth underestimates the size of the national wealth of the country, based on accounting for only physical capital. According to world standards, national wealth includes: physical capital, natural capital, human capital.
