Состояние и особенности формирования патриотизма учащихся средней общеобразовательной школы

Abstract

Формирование патриотизма современной учащейся молодежи рассмотрено автором с позиции социокультурного и деятельностного подходов: патриотизм определяется как многогранный и полифункциональный феномен и выступает высшим духовно-нравственным, лично-социальным чувством, высшей ценностью общества, государства, личности, основополагающим принципом жизнедеятельности личности, общества, государства, определяющим мотивом и условием социально значимой деятельности личности. Исследования зафиксировали весьма противоречивое состояние формирования патриотизма учащихся: с одной стороны, проблема патриотизма актуальна для подростков, с другой — выявлены противоречия и проблемы его формирования. В настоящее время формирование патриотизма характеризуется приоритетом у учащихся личных интересов над общественными, равнодушным отношением большинства школьников к общественной жизни, несформированностью образа патриота России в сознании учащихся, ориентацией личности на достижение материального благополучия, развлечения. Снижается роль основных социальных институтов и самого молодого человека в формировании патриотизма.

Formation of patriotism of the modern studying youth is considered by the author from a position of sociocultural and activity approaches. Within these approaches, the patriotism is defi ned as a many-sided and multifunctional phenomenon and acts as the highest spiritual and moral, personal and social feeling, the supreme value of society, state, the personality, the fundamental principle of activity of the personality, society, state determining by motive and a condition of any socially important activity of the personality. A research objective is to study the current state and features of formation of patriotism of pupils of comprehensive high school. The empirical base of a research includes materials of the social researches conducted by the author in 2017 at comprehensive high schools of Chelyabinsk region in comparison with the results of 2007–2008 survey. Methods of collecting primary information were: questionnaire, analysis of documents. The analysis of literature on this problem is also presented. Research has shown very contradictory condition and formation of patriotism of pupils. On the one hand, the problem of patriotism is relevant for adolescents, on the other hand, contradictions and problems of its formation are revealed. At present, the formation of patriotism is characterized by the primacy of students' personal interests over public good, the indifferent attitude of most schoolchildren to public life, lack of the image of the patriot of Russia in the consciousness of students, and orientation of the individual towards achieving material well-being and entertainment. The role of the main social institutions and the youngest person in the formation of patriotism is reduced.
