Abstract

The present article examined changes in the legal regulation of flaring of associated petroleum gas in flare plants, revealed the reasons for the state's involvement in the APG combustion problem, the main directions of state policy in this matter, and also examined attempts and shortcomings of the state policy in the field of APG combustion: in According to the legislation of the Russian Federation, associated petroleum gas is not a useful mineral, but a by-product of the oil production process; State policy is not aimed at processing APG with the allocation of valuable components, but to reduce the volume of gas flaring.
