Abstract

The report presents a number of Internet-applications, developed with the help of Adobe software and demonstrating video lectures, based on previously filmed video materials. Video presentation of lectures has a lot of advantages as compared to demonstration of videos. We will specify some of them: 1. Presentation of video lectures has subtitles in the language chosen by the user from the number of introduced ones. 2. Additional controls have been introduced into the video player together with the traditional ones, which ensure quick navigation on the subtitles and allow to listen again to the last phrase delivered by the lecturer or to return to the previous one or to go on to the next. 3. The navigator allows to add the user’s “bookmarks” and to return quickly to them and to conduct search according to the key words through the whole content of the lecture. 4. The presentation of the video is accompanied by simultaneous demonstration of texts, graphics and animation, which can display and far better and quicker everything that the lecturer is writing on the blackboard as well as various comments, additional materials and references. What is more, this window contains its own navigator, which enables the user to look through these materials regardless of video presentation. 5. The user has an opportunity to get a quick and convenient access to various reference information (dictionaries and so on). 6. All moves from one content to another take place within one and the same window without reloading web-page in the browser.
