Abstract:	The article deals with the theoretical issues of such phenomena as language fashion and language taste. The authors consider the notions of fashion and taste in the historical context and analyze the theoretical model of fashion. The article studies the question of language taste in young people’s speech (in particular, some characteristic features of teenage speech and the phenomenon of linguistic mimicry).
