Основание грузинской ветви Багратидов

Abstract

Статья посвящена анализу источников, в которых содержатся све-дения о происхождении грузинской ветви рода Багратидов. До второй половины VIII в. Тайк принадлежал Мамиконянам, одному из армянских нахарарских домов. После их ухода с политической арены власть над этим регионом перешла к другому армянскому нахарарскому роду – Багратидам, что привело, в итоге, к возникновению грузинской ветви этой династии. По мнению автора статьи, данные события произошли в конце VIII – начале IX в. Сведения о возникновении грузинской ветви Багратидовов со-хранились в армянских и византийских источниках, но наиболее подробно об этом говорится в грузинских исторических хрониках. Автор статьи приходит к выводу, что в грузинской «Летописи» родственные связи между грузинскими и армянскими Багратидами умалчивались. Однако свидетельства других источников подтверждают эту связь.

Tayk was the fiefdom of an Armenian noble house, the Mamikoneans, up to the second half of the 8th century. When the latters left the political arena they said domain came under the authority of another Armenian noble house, the Bagratids, becoming their possession. One of the Bagratids, dwelled in Tayk, founds the Georgian branch of that dynasty. Thanks to them the Georgian provinces and princedoms were united in a realm for the first time, and the country entered a new and glorious era that lasted a few centuries. Consequently, the investigation of the matter on the lineage of the Bagratids’ Georgian spring is ex-ceedingly important; whence, when and how they revealed themselves in the Georgian reality. There are various viewpoints on the foundation of the Bagratids’ Georgian offset in the source study literature. It is known that the Georgian branch of the Bagratids was originated at the end of the 8th and at the beginning of the 9th centuries, although the sources don’t state the exact time of taking their roots in the mentioned area. The information about the problem is preserved more in Georgian than both in Armenian and Byzantine sources, but the Georgian ones, besides containing real facts, provide with imaginary evidences that were added tendentiously by the authors in course of time. The Georgian sources describe the genealogy of the Bagratids in more details, although one observes some differences in these works. In addition, no matter how much the authors of the Georgian annals try to ignore the relationship of the Georgian Bagratids with the Armenian offset; one can found the facts in sources, which certifies the said relationship.
