Образ Екатеринбурга в современной автобиографической прозе Урала

Abstract

Статья посвящена изучению образа Свердловска-Екатеринбурга в современной автобиографической прозе Урала. На материале комплекса мемуарно-автобиографических текстов (воспоминаний, эссе, повестей и рассказов) представлена общая модель изображения города от топографической разметки до наполнения реально-историческим содержанием и конечной универсализации образа. В качестве основных способов репрезентации образа города отмечены такие формульные элементы, как фиксация значимых локусов, разворачивание панорамных изображений, прочерчивание маршрутов, введение архитектурных заметок и историй из городской повседневности. В ходе исследования автор приходит к следующим выводам: 1) на «литературные карты» автобиографов попадают как официально, так и неофициально признанные городские достопримечательности; 2) исторический материал, прошедший через фильтр личного сюжета, перерабатывается в лиризованные рассказы о городской повседневности разных лет; 3) авторские варианты образа Свердловска-Екатеринбурга базируются на закрепившихся представлениях о городе («дореволюционный Екатеринбург», «город-труженик», «город эвакуированных», «промышленный гигант» и т. д.); 4) обязательной компонентой автобиографических повествований оказывается авторская оценка жизненного пути и, как следствие, замена исторически конкретного образа Свердловска-Екатеринбурга мифологизированным, многократно переживаемым образом «города детства и юности».

This article explores the image of Sverdlovsk / Yekaterinburg as presented in the contemporary autobiographical prose of the Urals. Referring to a number of memoir and autobiographic texts (memoirs, essays, stories, and short stories), the author illustrates the image of the city in several stages — from drawing of “a topographic layout” to filling it with realistic historical content and the ultimate universalisation of the image. According to the author, there are a number of means to represent the image of the city, namely, marking the important loci, the creation of panoramic images, the drawing of routes, and the introduction of architectural comments and stories of the city’s everyday life — such “formula units” are viewed as the main techniques for representing the image of the city. The author concludes that: 1) both formally and informally recognised landmarks can be found on the “literary maps” drawn by autobiographers; 2) historical material that passes through the filter of a personal story is transformed into lyrical narratives of the city’s everyday life in different years; 3) the authors use variations of the image of Sverdlovsk / Yekaterinburg that are based on established ideas of the city (“Yekaterinburg before the revolution of 1917”, “a hardworking city”, “an industrial giant”, etc.); 4) the authors present a view of their life journey and therefore replace the historically true picture with a mythological tale of “the city of the author’s childhood and adolescence” as they experienced it over and over again in the old days — this approach is seen as a mandatory component of the autobiographical narratives in question.
