dc.description.abstract	New method is proposed for evaluation of the coefficient of friction during deformation of metals. Method involves the upsetting prismatic samples with a square cross section in the plan, measuring the radius of curvature of the sides of the sample and the determination of the coefficient of friction on the diagrams are presented. For evaluate the effectiveness of techniques made calculations by finite element method, performed experiments which showed a good convergence of the results.	en
