dc.description.abstract	The article reviews the role of the oil and gas factor in Russian-Kazakh cooperation development after the fall of the USSR, illustrating the influence of the trade and economic cooperation on the political situation development in the Region’s political situation, and their interdependence. Additionally, the author explores the geopolitical barriers impeding Russia-CIS cooperation on a more intensive level within post-Soviet Central Asia during the current period.	en
