Образ Китая в российском сознании во второй половине XIX - начале XX в.

Abstract

Рассматриваются особенности становления и развития российских представлений о Китае и его жителях во второй половине XIX - начале XX в. Обозначены основные проблемы, в рамках которых шло обсуждение «китайского вопроса» и формировался цельный образ Китая в российском сознании в исследуемый период. Приводятся многочисленные оценки представителей российской общественности.

The article considers the peculiarities of formation and development of Russian views about China and its in-habitants in the second half of the 19th - beginning of 20th centuries. The author cites numerous assessments of the status and further development of China, formu-lated by representatives of the Russian public. The arti-cle presents the main problems in the framework of the discussion of «Chinese question», which was formed by the whole image of China in the Russian consciousness in the analyzed period.
