Research on the implementation path of china's zero-carbon building technical standards under the "dual carbon" goals

Abstract

With the development of urbanization, the proportion of energy consumption in buildings in total energy consumption continues to rise. As the world's largest building market, China recognizes that promoting zero-carbon buildings is a vital means to achieve carbon peak, carbon neutrality goals, and sustainable development. In order to guide the building sector and regions primarily responsible for carbon emissions toward low-carbon, near-zero carbon, and zero-carbon emissions, China initiated the formulation of zero-carbon building technical standards in 2021. This paper conducts an analytical study on the core content of low-carbon, near-zero carbon, and zero-carbon building carbon emission control indicators, building and regional decarbonization design methods, and low-carbon construction and operation standards. The aim is to provide references for the international standardization development of zero-carbon buildings.
