Кайзер, воин, охотник на львов: 100-летний юбилей Битвы народов и немецкое общество

Abstract

На основе прессы, художественной и научной литературы, а также архивных документов в статье рассматривается проблема подготовки и празднования 100-летнего юбилея Битвы народов под Лейпцигом в октябре 1913 г. Анализируется процесс подготовки праздника, его ход, идеологическое наполнение, а также проблемы, с которыми столкнулись как имперское правительство в период коммеморативных мероприятий, так и местные власти в самом городе. Выявляется общий контекст, в котором происходила подготовка праздника как части широких праздничных мероприятий, посвященных 100-летию Освободительной войны 1813–1815 гг.

Based on different types of press, fiction and scientific literature, as well as archival documents, the article deals with the problem of preparing and celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig in October 1913. It also deals with the process of preparing for the festivity, the process of the festivity itself, and its ideological content, as well as with problems, which the imperial government and the city administration faced with during the commemorative events. The general context of the festivity preparations is also identified as part of wider celebrations dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the War for Independence of 1813–1815.
