Abstract: A comparative study between the efficiency of triflates and nonaflates as leaving groups has been carried out in the Palladium catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of 7-substituted coumarins. Nonaflates were identified to be a better leaving group than corresponding triflates in terms of efficiency as well as reactivity. © 2019 Author(s).
