Перстни-печати Болгарии и Византии XIII-XIV вв. (по поводу книги К. Тотева)

Abstract

This publication is a reference to the monograph by Bulgarian Byzantine studies researcher Konstantin Totev. According to the author of the reference the research by K. Totev represents complete selection of all the materials available at the moment of publication of the monograph. Besides that the work by Totev is the first successful attempt of understanding and systematizing Bulgarian and Byzantine signets of XIII–XIV centuries in modern historiography. Using the analysis of the material presented by K. Totev one can acknowledge high level of jewelry-making art in medieval Bulgaria as well as its broad cultural contacts with eastern and western neighbors.
