Особенности влияния русского языка на немецкий язык ГДР

Abstract

Many languages, including German, contain words borrowed from the Russian language. After the Second World War the German Democratic Republic (the GDR) appeared and existed from 1949 till1990. The GDR remained under the USSR political influence and as a result direct lexical borrowing happened frequently under this period. Most of the German loan words of the Russian origin used to denote things and notions specific to the USSR reality — politics, cosmonautics and the way of life, for example: der Kolchos, die Datsche, der Kosmonaut. This article is describing a variety of German loan words of the Russian origin in this particular time period.
