К вопросу о национальной идентичности героев В. Набокова: «русские» среди «призрачных иностранцев»

Abstract

Статья посвящена важной и неоднозначной в творчестве В. Набокова проблеме национальной идентификации. На материале прежде всего русскоязычной прозы Набокова рассмотрены варианты национальной рефлексии и проявления «русского начала» в его персонажах. В ходе анализа «русские» герои Набокова были условно разделены на два лагеря — культивирующих собственную «русскость» и прячущих ее. Такое противопоставление вполне соответствует авторскому мировоззрению и авторской поэтике, где многое держится на антитезе.

The article considers a significant and ambiguous theme in the creative work of V. Nabokov, i.e. the issue of national identification focusing on the literary characters of the writer, and, more particularly, ones identifying themselves as Russians which is the object of the author’s attention in this article. With reference mainly to Nabokov’s Russian-language prose, the author considers varieties of national reflection and the manifestation of Russianness in his characters. For the convenience of their analysis, the author divides Nabokov’s characters into the ones cultivating their Russianness and the ones hiding it. This approach is well within the writer’s worldview and his poetics, where much is based on antithesis and contraposition.
