Россия на Южном Кавказе: геополитика и экономика

Abstract

The text is concerned with Russia's geopolitical interests in the South Caucasus. In this paper the main problems of security in the South Caucasus and especially the Georgian aggression against South Ossetia are studied. In his work the author showed that the attempt Georgia to solve the conflict in South Ossetia by force resulting in numerous casualties among civilians and peacekeepers and also humanitarian consequences. The author gave clearcut presentation of the basic aims of the Russian military base in Armenia. Issues of economic cooperation as the foundation of partnership among the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation occupy a very important place in the text.

В статье говорится о геополитических интересах России на Южном Кавказе. Автор рассматривает основные проблемы безопасности в Закавказье и особенно грузинскую агрессию против Южной Осетии. В статье автор показал, что попытка Тбилиси силой решить конфликт с Цхинвалом привел к многочисленным жертвам среди мирного населения и миротворцев, а также к гуманитарной катастрофе. Автор дал ясное изложение основных целей создания российских военных баз в регионе. Вопросы экономического сотрудничества как основы партнерства между Азербайджаном и Россией занимают важное место в работе.
